Chaos Vehicles. Living creature
Understanding vehicle motion under various loads and inertia, constantly questioning "why" and "how" it behaves in certain situations and researching available technologies for automotive animation led to the conclusion that simulation is preferable over manual imitation.
Chaos Vehicles was ideal for creating dynamic, believable vehicle motion. High-speed action involves multiple loads with varying and ever-changing vectors that the human eye may not differentiate but certainly perceives as realistic or not.
The ability to distribute torque on axes, adjust loads on coils and balance braking forces transformed how the car feels in action and through the camera lens. By tuning parameters to induce understeer or oversteer and allowing weight transfer from rear to front, a rally-like behavior was achieved.

The rally version is equipped with a fully covered underbody panel, channeling air from the front straight to the rear diffuser without obstruction. Underbody airflow drastically affects the way a rally car behaves and forms the car's ground effect. To avoid interference from dirty cold air with the rear diffuser’s outer flow, the exhaust pipe, carrying hot air, is positioned higher than the diffuser.
